We are now in our winter opening hours at our specialist Simply Devine wedding hat shop in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. If you want to shop Sunday to Wednesday then make an appointment!! Dismiss
While we pride ourselves on being the go-to hat shop for mothers of the bride and groom, we also love to create fabulous hat and fascinator designs for race-goers. Racing is certainly in our blood at Simply Devine – we first opened our doors in 2004 to coincide with Royal Ascot moving to York during their renovations. While it’s certainly true that hats and fascinators can be interchangeable between weddings and race days for some guests, we love to see the more creative designs worn on race days. Our Simply Devine race day collection can be as outrageous or conservative (with a small “c”) as you want. We love to see fun, stand out designs, and since we are situated in the centre of nine race courses, race-day customers come to us for their hatinators and fascinators for the more famous York Ebor and Doncaster St Leger. There’s also Beverley, Catterick, Pontefract, Redcar, Ripon, Thirsk, and Wetherby. We have also seen our fabulous designs at Royal Ascot, the Kentucky Derby and the Dubai World Cup! Our race day customers do tend to be a little younger, so it’s important for us to have different styles. Pillboxes and more structured designs are perfect for younger faces, and smaller fascinators are more affordable. However, that’s not to say that we don’t have more creative designs for those who like to get ahead in the style stakes.Lemon Structured Hatinator Ebor Ladies Day is coming up on the event calendar for the 19th August, while the St Leger Ladies Day in Doncaster on the 9th September marks the end of the local summer racing season. If you’re quick – there are some fabulous dress bargains to be had in the fashion sales – check out Warehouse which currently has some great bargains, though sizes are limited this late in the season.Hot pink hatinator

I set up the Simply Devine Hat Shop in 2004 and have been running the bricks and mortar high street shop in Tadcaster and our online hat shop since the early days. We were 17 years old last week!. That's a hat long time for a hat shop. We are nestled in the brewery town of Tadcaster where beer is brewed, ie Samuel Smiths, John Smiths.
