AND LIFE RETURNS TO NORMAL – ALMOST!

Hurray – We’re back to normal – or at least as normal as we can be in these strange times! We know things are looking up for brides and grooms – and their mothers – because we’re busy in the shop again. We’ve had glorious weather, though this may change in the coming weeks, and life is rosy again for couples looking to tie the knot while their families celebrate with them. We can now say goodbye to number restrictions, table restrictions and even dance restrictions due to Covid-19, so we’re now ready to party like it’s 1999 (excuse the Prince pun). Obviously, you may still catch COVID-19, particularly since you may be in closer proximity to people with whom you do not normally live, so it’s wise to be mindful of kissing relative strangers. Many of our lovely ladies are attending week day weddings in the coming weeks since the pandemic pushed last year’s nuptials into 2021, because venues for weekend weddings are booked solid for months to come. Interesting that younger guests are coming into the shop saying they have three of four weddings to attend this summer due to cancellations from last year – and they want a hat or fascinator to go with all their different outfits… quite a challenge…. but we have succeeded in doing so! But for Simply Devine, we are delighted to see customers returning. Hats and fascinators are now selling like hot cakes and flying off the shelves.  One of our most popular hatinators is what we have affectionately called the “wiggle” hatinator, and comes in fabulous rich jewel colours in gorgeous orange, hot coral, black or purple.
