SUPPORTING WEAR A HAT DAY

Ladies Hats and fascinators

The Simply Devine Hat Shop celebrated Wear A Hat Day at the weekend with customers from York.Ruth Thompson and her daughter Hannah Thompson took up Liz Devine-Wright’s offer to try on hats and fascinators to see what colour and size suited for their planned visit to York Races in the summer. Liz is a regular supporter of Wear a Hat Day in aid of Brain Tumour Research, making an annual donation to the charity.
Liz said, “It’s a science wearing hats, and customers think they can just pick a blue hat to match a blue dress, but hats can very much overpower some ladies, and yet some look like peas on a drum. If you want to look amazing and feel amazing fabulous wearing a hat, then it’s good to take the time and take on board some hat expertise.

” We look at a customer’s colouring, hair style, size, body shape and height as well as their outfit and accessories, to ensure that the headpiece is just right.”
Simply Devine last month celebrated 18 years in business in Tadcaster. It is a multi-award winning hat shop specialising in headwear mainly for mothers of the bride or groom, royal garden parties and race days.
