COLOUR IS KEY FOR 2023

Customers who visit our Simply Devine shop here in Yorkshire, often walk in and the first thing they say is “Wow!”

We have a rainbow of different colours and style, but there are always colours which are popular year after year.

Fashion colours come and go – our emerald green collection was so popular last year that we have had to re-create the colour in our “Wiggle” and pillbox signature styles.

This year – post-pandemic – our mothers of the bride/groom are trending towards the old favourites.  So much so that we almost ran out of navy blue, but have just restocked with one of our signature head pieces, so we’re back in business with our navy blue stock.

Navy blue is one of the most versatile hat/hatinator/fascinator shades, because it will compliment most summer shades.  It looks beautiful with hot pink or magenta, but equally as pretty with a pale pink, coral or orange, and even green. Our customer Lucy accessorised her simple navy blue dress with our sea green hatinator and matched it to her shoes and bag, taking her outfit as mother of the bride up a notch. We have also dressed a race day customer with a navy hat to contrast with a lovely yellow dress.

Pink of course is one of our all-time favourites for mothers of the bride or groom – and even for wedding guests and race days.  And pink comes in all shades, from hot pink and fuchsia, to pale baby pink and shades of dusky pink and rose. 

We have a small bespoke collection of special occasion dresses, and we love our rose-pink dress, which perfectly matches our selection of specially dyed rose-pink headwear.

Paler shades of pink are always popular since most of the fashion houses offer collections in baby shades.  We love the photo of our customer Alison at her daughter’s summer wedding (main photo) wearing one of our statement hatinators with her pretty Bardot-style dress.

Summer flower print dresses with a white background are always great to style – just pick out any of the colours for your hatinator match with bags and shoes.

Pale blue is another all-time favourite and we have all shades, from porcelain to baby blue to cornflower or ice blue, as well as fashion shades of cobalt and royal blue.
