Our beautiful hats, fascinators and hatinators have graced the heads of mothers of the bride and groom, and race day guests for almost 20 years, and this year has been no exception.
Julie wears a beautiful blue hatinator to complement her blue lace dress and jacket.
With Royal Ascot this week, we have loved looking at photographs of the race day guests in their colourful creations. There are, as always, some beautiful outfits and headpieces – and some absolute frights! While we love to ensure our customers leave our Tadcaster shop looking a million dollars, we wonder how some of the guests thought they looked good in their mismatched and unflattering outfits.
We don’t yet have any photos from our own lovely Ascot customers – one took three fabulous pieces from us – but we can showcase some recent wedding photographs featuring mothers of the bride/groom and wedding guests.
Sophie is wearing this cute beige pillbox with veiling to match her nude handbag.
We always ask customers to bring their dress/shoes/handbags with them when they visit us, so they can see the full picture and ensure their outfit is absolutely perfect. Owner Liz will not recommend a headpiece to a customer if she believes it isn’t perfectly suited either to her body shape/colouring or the occasion.
For customers who order online, but are not sure they have found an exact match to their dress or suit, we ask that they send us a bobbin of cotton, a skein of embroidery silk, or a swatch of the fabric so we can see the exact colour of the outfit. You can also send us a photograph of your dress to ensure the style will be correct for the headpiece.
