The weather has well and truly changed now that the clocks have gone back, and the leaves have fallen from the trees leaving a soggy mess on our roads and pavements. As we move from the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, it’s only a matter of time before we get ice and snow.

At Simply Devine, we don’t just sell wedding and special occasion headwear – we also have a collection of faux fur hats and huffs, as well as berets and cosy bobble hats. Unlike our occasion headwear, however, these is not designed by us.

Our gorgeous Helen Moore guaranteed cruelty-free faux fur is PETA approved and sourced from sustainable materials. Our cosy warm hats are available in white, truffle, navy or animal print, while our comfortable huffs come in a variety of colours – pink, truffle, steel, ocelot, sand, lynx or winter white.

Huffs are basically faux fur headbands which cover the ears but leave the crown of your head uncovered – perfect if you have a lot of hair or an elaborate “updo”. They are also great if you enjoy skiing and don’t want a heavy hat obscuring your view. We even have fun fur “huffs” for the top of your boots, turning ordinary footwear into something a little more special!

Baker Boy hats have enjoyed a renaissance in recent years, and we have some cute designs in wool and angora.

We also have felt fedoras and tweedy flat caps for those who prefer a trendy look. Our stretchy bobble hats are great for children or the young at heart!

Since it is also the season for buying gorgeous Christmas presents, Simply Devine silk and wool mix pashminas make a gorgeous gift – instead of draping casually over a summer outfit, these versatile wraps double as a warm winter scarf – and we have a whole rainbow of colours to choose from!

If you prefer a more luxe look, our gorgeous velvet scarves add a finishing touch to your Christmas outfit.

I set up the Simply Devine Hat Shop in 2004 and have been running the bricks and mortar high street shop in Tadcaster and our online hat shop since the early days. We were 17 years old last week!. That's a hat long time for a hat shop. We are nestled in the brewery town of Tadcaster where beer is brewed, ie Samuel Smiths, John Smiths.
